Free, 12 Week Joint Care Programme
If you are suffering from painful joints, everyday activities can become uncomfortable and difficult. One of the major causes of pain in the hips or knees is the pressure which being overweight can put on the joints. This puts you at risk of osteoarthritis, which is a condition where the protective cartilage on the ends of your bones breaks down, which causes mobility issues, pain and swelling.
Our new 12-week joint care programme aims to help you improve your lifestyle with gentle exercise sessions and nutrition advice to help you to lose weight and take pressure of your joints.
About the programme
In this programme, you will get to join in with a 2-hour session each week at your local leisure centre. In these sessions, you will be invited to take part in 1 hour of light exercise, which will teach you some simple exercises which you can replicate at home too. There is also an additional weekly exercise class available for a small fee if you wish to do the exercise sessions twice a week.
After this, our experts offer an hour of nutritional advice to help you to improve your lifestyle and diet at home. This will include some practical cooking sessions, where our team will show you quick and affordable meals and cooking tips, to help you make changes to your everyday diet.
