Most people are aware that maintaining a healthy weight is a key component of healthy living and can contribute to happier, more active lifestyles with reduced risks of developing many conditions including diabetes, heart disease, strokes and arthritis. Joint Care Programme
If you would like support to help lose weight, become more active and reduce joint pain, then get involved with this 12 week programme offering a two hour weekly session consisting of 1 hour of light exercise and 1 hour of nutrition advice, including some practical cookery sessions. You can also attend a second exercise session per week at a small cost. Sessions are held in local leisure centres. Watch the video below for more information on the benefits of this scheme.
National Exercise Referral Scheme
You may be eligible for a supervised exercise programme in a local sports centre if you are at risk of a chronic health disease. Please speak to a member of the healthcare team in your own surgery for further advice regarding this free service. Visit our practices page to find your surgery here.

Case UK offer rapid access to physiotherapy, psychological, and occupational therapy across Cwm Taf Morgannwg and Taff Ely area. It is fully funded by the Welsh Government and comes at no cost to you.
