Tenovus Cancer Care offers free, confidential support for anyone whose life has been affected by cancer. This includes people living with cancer, as well as their families, friends and carers. Their services are designed to provide practical help, reliable information and emotional support at what can be a very difficult time.
What is tenovus cancer care?
Tenovus Cancer Care is a Wales-wide charity that supports people affected by cancer, including those living in and around the Taff Ely area. Their services are easy to access and tailored to individual needs, helping people cope with the physical, emotional and practical challenges that cancer can bring.
Support is available whether you have recently been diagnosed, are undergoing treatment, adjusting to life after cancer, or caring for someone else.
Who can access support?
You can contact Tenovus Cancer Care if you are:
- Living with a cancer diagnosis
- Newly diagnosed or currently having treatment
- Supporting or caring for someone with cancer
- A family member or friend affected by a loved one’s diagnosis
- Looking for clear information, reassurance or guidance
No referral is needed, and all support is provided free of charge.
Support available
The main way to access Tenovus Cancer Care services is through their Support Line. When you get in touch, you will speak with trained staff who will take time to understand your situation and help you find the right support.
This may include:
- A listening ear and emotional support
- Clear answers to questions about cancer and treatments
- Information about local and national support services
- Signposting to specialist help, including financial or counselling support

The Frailty Nurses are working for the GP practices in Taff Ely to provide assessment, advice and support for patients, their families and carers at home.
Case UK Wellbeing Support
Case UK offer rapid access to physiotherapy, psychological, and occupational therapy across Cwm Taf Morgannwg and Taff Ely area. It is fully funded by the Welsh Government and comes at no cost to you.
